Conditions Report - September 8 2010

NORTHWEST:

--Public Mountain Conditions Reports: The North-eastern Cascades had snow flurries in the past week. The headwaters of Wall creek had 5 cm's of snow accumulations at 6500ft ( 2000m). Higher elevations appeared to have 10-15 cm of accumulated snow in sheltered northerly aspects early in the week. The south aspects and ridge tops have probably dried off by now.

--Eastern Slope was where it was at last holiday weekend. Check out this report for Colchuck Balanced Rock. WA Pass looked dry as well. Check out this report for Kangaroo Temple. Weather was a bit more schizophrenic on Sunday, when the same party did Le Petit Cheval.
--See this report for a Hood ski decent, where the snow was surprisingly good.

That lot has now become employee parking and people who want to carpool are required to park at the lot outside the Scenic Drive exit.

--The scenic drive currently opens its gates at 6 in the morning.
