Eastern Sierra:
- Though it’s not the biggest snow year in the Sierra, it is a relatively big year based on averages. Look carefully at the Owens River Basin. This is where many of the AAI climbing objectives are. - The Onion Valley Road recently re-opened to the top.
Alaska:
- The Recreational Forecast for Denali will begin in early May. We expect to start to see reports coming out of the Ruth in the near future as well.
South America:
- There are a series of new rules for Americans entering Bolivia. This may look like a big deal, but it’s really not. AAI climbers who register for Bolivia trips will receive a full briefing in their registration packet. See the section entitled Entry/Exit Requirements on the State Department website.
